Engagement at Enchanted Rock

Last Sunday I met with Nicole and Lowie for their engagement session at the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area near Fredericksburg, TX. Enchanted Rock is such a magical place and I have always wanted to shoot there. As it turned out, Nicole and Lowie hadn’t been there before but it was high up on their do-to-list. So it was the perfect spot to capture this exciting time of their lives. And I’m sure it will always remain a very special place for both of them.

I’m often a little bit nervous when meeting my brides and grooms for the first time during their engagement session. And it wasn’t any different with Nicole and Lowie. It helped that I had spoken to Nicole before on the phone so I knew we would get along well but grooms aren’t often a huge fan of photo shootings but not Lowie. He was immediately cool with me and my husband who helped me this time. And we all had a lot of fun right away.

If I had to summarize Nicole and Lowie’s engagement session at Enchanted Rock in one word I would choose togetherness. As we spent this afternoon hiking and taking photos I learned more and more about them and I watched them how they interacted with each other. Lowie is such a sweet young man who took great care of his girl, always looking out for her, helping and comforting her. He’s going to make a great husband.
