All the chaos of 2020 didn’t stop Valerie and Chris to celebrate their love with an intimate elopement in the heart of Texas. And let me tell you – it was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter and lots of kissing.
Valerie is a good friend of one of my former brides, Lenny, and reached out to me a few months before her elopement. Like many 2020 brides, Valerie had to her change wedding plans but she didn’t want the Corona virus to stop her from marrying her fiancé, confidant and best friend Chris. So instead of throwing a big party, these two decided to have a smaller, more intimate celebration. Surrounded by the people they loved the most – their children – Valerie and Chris got married under a beautiful tree by Valerie’s best friend and sister Annie.
Valerie and Christ chose a stunning location for their intimate Texas elopement. They were able to use a friend’s property and man was it beautiful. I loved taking them out for their sunset portraits. Chris was the best groom ever – always making sure that his bride looked her best. It was super easy to work with him and he loved making her laugh and smiles. If I’m honest with you, I think he was quite excited for all the kissing prompts … hahahaha.
After a wonderful afternoon, a gorgeous sunset and a delicious family dinner, we ended the day with a bonfire. We all were gathered around the fire, making s’mores and laughing together. I remember staring up into the night sky – it’s been a while since I have seen so many stars.
Valerie and Chris, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your intimate Texas elopement. I enjoyed every second of it and I’m still mesmerized by all the beautiful moments we were able to capture.
